Race Track Training

A training day on the race track in Italy – not a track day: our own garage, no time slots, a maximum of four riders. Even if this is your first time on a circuit.

What is the race track training?

The race track does not add anything – it takes things away. No oncoming traffic, no junctions, no loose gravel on the exit, no corner you do not know. What is left is wide, clean asphalt and the same corner, as often as it takes to get it right – the condition under which technique can be practised deliberately at all. That is why a day on the track with us is not a speed format but a repetition format. We ride on two circuits in Italy, under the same conditions and for the same price: Cremona on Thursdays, Modena at the weekend.

It is not a track day but a training day: structured work on your line, your braking point, your body position, all day long, with one instructor for a maximum of four riders.

A day on the race track is the calmest day we offer – even if nobody expects that.

Why this is not a track day

The conditions

On a track day you ride – to a schedule, placed in groups by lap time, with many others on the circuit, and afterwards nobody tells you what you did. That has its place: you get to ride the technique you already have. A training day improves it – because someone sees what you do and explains it to you after every session. For that, our day is built differently:

  • Our own garage, just for us
  • No time slots – you ride all day, whenever and for as long as you want
  • No track-day riders out on the circuit
  • A maximum of four participants per instructor

That is exactly why a day on the race track with us is not only for the fast. There is no grouping by lap time and nobody who surprises you at the braking point – so there is no “too slow” either. If you are riding a race track for the first time, you get the same conditions as someone who has been doing track days for years, and considerably more peace while doing it.

How the day runs

The same schedule on both circuits – first see what you actually do, then work on it on purpose:

  1. Free riding

The day starts without instructions: you ride the way you ride, and your instructor rides along. It is not about how fast you are, it is about where the two of you start. After that you both know what to work on that day – and you do not have to explain it yourself.

  2. Structured work

After that the work becomes targeted: line choice, braking points, body position. One topic after another, each one practiced out on the circuit and not just explained – your instructor rides along.

  3. Feedback after every session

After every turn on the circuit comes a concrete correction – what worked, what did not, and what you will work on in the next session. No participant rides alone or is left without feedback.

Who is it for?

For every riding level, as soon as the technique is in place:

  • Recommended after Level 2 of our cornering training – you do not need race track experience
  • On a naked bike or a sport bike, both work, with no prescribed power class

Two circuits, the same conditions

Dynamic group training for advanced riders: close riding and high corner speed in Cremona.

Cremona Circuit

  • Thursday, 1 day
  • 3,768 m – the longer of the two circuits
  • First-class asphalt, varied layout
  • Long corner combinations, plenty of room for clean lines

For everyone who wants a lot of circuit under their wheels: varied corner sequences and enough room to work on your line in peace.

Autodromo di Modena

  • Weekend, 1 day
  • 2,007 m – the more compact of the two circuits
  • Many corners in little length, a high repetition rate
  • Home of the official Ducati Riding Experience (DRE)

For everyone who would rather ride one corner often than rarely – or who has no time during the week. Shorter laps mean more passes through the same spot, and so a quicker feel for what changes.

A motorcycle instructor shows the ideal line during guided race track training for beginners in Italy. An instructor on a blue Yamaha R1 demonstrates correct vision and line choice in a corner. An instructor on a Yamaha R1 leads a fast group of experienced sport riders at the Cremona Circuit. An instructor on a Yamaha R1 looks back over his shoulder while riding to check the participants' position during group training in Modena. An instructor on a Yamaha R1 leaned over at the kerb, with a participant in a hi-vis vest right behind – in guided race track training the group follows the instructor's line.

The foundation for it

Once you have completed Level 2 of our cornering training, you have the technique it takes here – Level 3 makes the day even more rewarding, but it is not a condition. How the race track differs from the other formats is explained in our article “What each format can do”.

Frequently asked questions

What motorcycle do I need?

Naked bike or sport bike – both work, on both circuits. There is no prescribed power class. Full protective gear is mandatory; you will get the details with your booking confirmation.

Do I need race track experience already?

No. If you have ridden our cornering training up to Level 2, you have the technique it takes here. You do not need track experience itself – for many participants this is their first day on a circuit.

Is a day on the race track not too much to start with?

Many people think so, because a race track day sounds like speed and competition. In fact it is the calmest day we offer: not a track day, no time slots, no grouping by lap time and a maximum of four riders per instructor. Nobody is pushing behind you, and nobody is waiting for you.

What is the difference between Cremona and Modena?

Conditions, schedule and price are identical. Only the circuit and the day of the week differ: at 3,768 meters Cremona is the longer circuit, with varied corner combinations and plenty of room in between, and it runs on Thursdays. At 2,007 meters Modena is the more compact one – more corners in less length, so more passes through the same spot – and it runs at the weekend.

How can I get my motorcycle to the circuit?

Talk to us – depending on the date we help organize transport by arrangement. We cannot guarantee transport as a fixed service.

Do I get individual feedback?

Yes. With a maximum of four riders you get concrete feedback after each session. No participant rides alone or is left without corrections.

Why do I register instead of booking directly?

Four places, one instructor: we put the group together so that the day works for everyone. For that we briefly ask about your experience and what you want from the day. Then we confirm your place and you book within 3 days.

What if I have to cancel?

Until registration closes, 20 days before the date, you can send someone in your place – they register with the same questionnaire. What applies to a cancellation is set out in our terms and conditions (in German).
