Become a motorcycle instructor

Learn not just to master riding technique, but to teach it methodically. In 5 days we train you to become a certified Fit2Ride instructor – with a methodology that joins riding physics and coaching skill into one closed system.

A qualification, not a certificate of attendance

Mastering riding technique is one thing. Understanding it well enough to pass it on is another – that is the step from a good rider to a good instructor.

Our instructor certification is not a weekend seminar. It is a 5-day program that joins riding physics, coaching methodology and practical evaluation – on the practice site and on the race track, because an instructor has to command both environments.

The assessment runs across all five days: whoever receives the certificate has shown that they master riding technique at a high level and can pass the Fit2Ride methodology on professionally.

The certificate does not confirm that you were there – it confirms that you can do it.

Who is the certification for?

No race track experience needed. No previous Fit2Ride experience needed. What counts is the standard you set – for yourself and for what you want to pass on.

You ride well – and want to understand why

You command your motorcycle, but at “why does maintenance throttle work?” it goes quiet. That is exactly where the program begins.

You want to become an instructor – properly

You do not want a superficial course but a qualification with substance: riding physics, didactics and a certificate that means something.

You already run trainings – and are hitting limits

“Watch me and copy” is no longer enough. You are missing the methodical tools for recognizing mistakes, naming them and correcting them on purpose.

And you want a certificate based on competence – not on having been there, but on what you can do at the end of the five days.

Our methodology: three pillars

Rider, motorcycle, ride – as one closed system. These three pillars are the material you not only learn in the program, but learn to teach.

  1. 1

The rider — mind & decision

Every riding situation begins in the head. An instructor who understands why wrongly automated reflexes sit so deep can recognize those patterns and replace them with correct automatisms.

  2. 2

The motorcycle — physics & mechanics

A motorcycle responds to physical forces and nothing else. Whoever understands why maintenance throttle stabilizes the bike can justify every exercise and explain every correction.

  3. 3

The ride — mind meets physics

A rider knows the theory and still shuts the throttle by reflex, because his body reports a danger that does not exist physically. A good instructor recognizes exactly that moment and corrects it.

The program: 5 days, 2 locations

Understand → teach → apply. Part 1 lays the methodical foundation on the practice site, Part 2 puts it to work under real conditions on the race track.

Part 1 · Memmingen (3 days)

Methodology, didactics & coaching on the practice site in Memmingerberg. Training motorcycle included.

  • Day 1 — riding physics & methodology: maintenance throttle, vision, steering input, weight transfer; theory check to establish where you stand
  • Day 2 — didactics & teaching: coaching structure, correcting in real time, feedback methodology, group dynamics
  • Day 3 — practice & evaluation: simulated instruction situations, peer coaching, analysis of strengths and weaknesses

Part 2 · Cremona Circuit, Italy (2 days)

Riding physics under real conditions. Your own motorcycle required, a rental bike possible at extra cost.

  • Day 4 — circuit work & analysis: trail braking, line choice, video analysis, tire behavior
  • Day 5 — synthesis & certification: guided sector work, final evaluation, closing conversation with the head coach

Your certificate: Fit2Ride Certified Instructor

Not a certificate of attendance but proof of competence based on a practical evaluation – for candidates who have completed both parts and come through the final evaluation.

  • Personalized with name, date and the head coach's signature
  • Part 1 (Memmingen) and Part 2 (Cremona) documented explicitly
  • Both parts must be completed within one calendar year

2027 cohort: one date, a maximum of 6 participants. The dates will be announced in good time – you can apply now.

How to apply

Registration works through an application form about your experience, your background and your motivation. We look at every application personally and reserve the right to turn applicants down – in order to protect quality and group dynamics.

Requirements

  • A valid category A license
  • Several years of riding practice on a motorcycle
  • No race track experience required
  • No previous Fit2Ride trainings required

How it runs

  • Application through the form
  • Personal review by the head coach
  • Acceptance and participation agreement
  • 99 € deposit on acceptance, the remainder before the course starts
  • The program: Part 1 in Memmingen, Part 2 in Cremona

The conditions of the program are set out in the Teilnahmevereinbarung (German). Accommodation and travel to Cremona are at your own cost – a hotel recommendation is available on request.

Who is behind it

This program is not based on a textbook but on more than 1,500 riders trained and 10 years of training methodology. The three-pillar methodology is the result of that experience – a system that joins mind and physics and enables instructors to go beyond “watch me and copy”.

Frequently asked questions

Do I have to have completed a Fit2Ride training first?

No. The certification is open to everyone, whether or not you have taken part in Fit2Ride trainings before. What counts is your riding practice and your motivation.

Do I need race track experience for Part 2?

No. The circuit is a tool, not a goal. It is about understanding riding physics under real conditions – we introduce you to it step by step.

What happens if it is not enough at the end?

The assessment runs across all five days, not in a single final exam – you know early where you stand. If it is not enough at the end, you get a detailed conversation with concrete recommendations and can complete the certification with the next cohort.

Do I need my own motorcycle?

Not for Part 1 in Memmingen – a training motorcycle is included. For Part 2 in Cremona your own motorcycle is required; a rental bike is possible at extra cost.

Can I book the two parts separately?

Yes. You only receive the certificate once both parts have been completed successfully within one calendar year. The full package is 490 € cheaper than booking the parts separately.

How large is the group?

A maximum of 6 participants per cohort – for intensive individual attention and realistic coaching simulations.

How does the certification differ from a normal training?

Our trainings (Level 1–3, riding safety, race track) are for riders who want to improve their own riding technique. The certification goes further: you learn riding technique at a high level and the methodology for passing that knowledge on in a structured way. It ends with proof of competence, not a certificate of attendance.
